Transfixed:

The artist confronts the online audience in this video from two places of isolated and lived realities: the first is being a Syrian asylum seeker in Chicago and the second is mourning the recent passing of his father (an influential cultural figure in Syria and the Arab world) due to COVID-19. This video was based on the artist's imagined response to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) if they ever asked him to send them a video letter during quarantine to support his asylum case.
